Domaine Michel Voarick is now with a young winemaker and the 3rd generation of the family, Victor Voarick. The Domaine owns 1.39 ha of Corton-Charlemagne and the wines are immaculous.
Domaine Michel Voarick is nearly 100 years old, founded in 1924 by Pierre Voarick who was succeeded by his son Michael and today its Jean-Marc Voarick who is in charge.
The Domain stretches over 21 acres and owns parcels of vineyards in the villages of Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton with the prestigious grands crus appellations of Corton-Charlemagne for the white and Corton-Clos-du-Roi and Corton-Renardes for the reds.
Knowing that only 2% of the production of Burgundy wines comes from the grand-cru denomination, one can say that Domaine Michel Voarick is quite privileged.
Wine selections: Corton-Renardes Grand Cru, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Aloxe-Corton Rouge, Pernand-Vergelesses Rouge, Pernand-Vergelesses Blanc
Domaine Morente François established in Volnay of the Côte de Beaune. Previously a science teacher, François has long dreamed of creating his own wine, with a particular passion for Burgundy. In 2014, he realized this ambition by acquiring a third of a hectare in Hautes Côtes de Beaune, where he planted high-density Pinot Noir vines. Notably, he is currently the only one employing this high-density technique in the appellation.
In addition to his red wine, François offers also white Burgundy from the southern part of the region in Maconnais. He treats his Hautes Côtes vineyard like a garden, utilizing horse-drawn plowing, hand-harvesting, and rigorous disbudding. In the cellar, he practices with whole clusters, with the proportion varying by vintage. Afterward, the wine ages for 12 months in barrels and 4 months in tanks, all without adding sulfites.
We were truly impressed by François Morente's wines, especially his red, which we believe exemplifies the purity and integrity of natural wine made entirely in Burgundy. The result is a fresh, elegant wine with a crisp, juicy finish. With only 2,000 bottles produced each year
Created in 2020, Bastien’s negoce is part of this new negoce’s way : small production, natural wines, trying to add less SO2 as possible, without using any other input and always getting grapes from related winemakers. He always tries to transcribe best as possible the land, the « terroir ».
Bastien is a former winemaker from Beaune who previously refines his skill at Olivier Leflaive. Bastien is part of this generation of young winegrowers seeking to transcribe the link between terroir and vineyard thanks to a non-interventionist vinification. His approach to vinification remains very simple, maceration and fermentation relatively fast so as not to over-extract.

Marthe is a new wine maker in Burgundy, she started making wine in the 2017 vintage and immediately made lot of noise! The precision on her chardonnay and pinot noir are absolutely fantastic. It is the wine that hits your heart and melt you over with.
Adding new cuvée every year from nice plot and selected areas.
In 2019’s vintage she produces on white : Bourgogne « Les Grandes Gouttes », Bourgogne « La Monatine », Bourgogne Aligoté, Meursault « Sous la Velle », Santenay « Le Biévaux », Saint Romain « La Combe Bazin », Montagny.
For red she produces : 2020 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Pommard and Hautes Côtes de Beaune.
Maxime is the old disciple of Frédéric Cossard, owner of Domaine de Chassorney with whom he learned the best way producing extraordinary natural wines.
2021 was his first vintage, and it is clear that Maxime is already a great name of natural wines in Burgundy. Due to several climatic hazards, it was really complicated finding grapes in Burgundy on 2021, so he decided to call domaines where he worked in Jura, Vaucluse (Vallée du Rhône) and Beaujolais, and brought back Pinot Noir from Jura, Syrah, Grenache, Carignan from Vaucluse and Gamay from Beaujolais to make his first cuvées. Outstanding wines!
Château de Messey is situated at north of Mâconnais and is mostly known for his « Clos des Avoueries » a monopole of 5 ha where a really meticulous work of soil analyses was done. It makes at final 5 different cuvées.
Concerning the vinification, their work is really complex and interesting. The alcoholic fermentation takes 8 to 12 months! The yeasts who have colonized the cellar are really specifics, and they work at really low temperature. So it allows wine to be protected all the fermentation long, and creates some natural movements in the barrels : the wines are « fed » and win in complexity.
These work in the vineyard and in the cellar give to the wine an extraordinary complexity.
Domaine Ricard is an old domaine now owned by the son Vincent Ricard in Touraine in Vallée de la Loire. He took back the vines which were first sold to the cooperative, and step by step, he regrouped the production on the Domaine. He had the Bio certification in 2013, and is now producing some Touraine Sauvignon for the whites, Côt (Malbec) for the red.
Domaine Gallety is a really qualitative domaine owned by a father and his son. They work with the grenache and syrah as none. The landscape is beautiful : the familial cellar is placed at the center of the 15 acres of the domaine, and surronded by forests.
Alain and David-Alexandre are really masters in blend : discover their work with the cuvée « Hautes Vignes » which is a blend of Syrah 50 / 50 Grenache on the young vines. Appreciate their meticulous blend on the Cuvée « Gallety » with older vines. And end your initiation by tasting « La Ligure » (Syrah 30 / 70 Grenache) and « Syrare » ( Syrah 70 / 30 Grenache) on the oldest vines, monsters of complexity, dense, and so elegant.
What’s fabulous on their wine, is that they will be fantastic in 5, 10 or even 15 years on the most iconic cuvée. But they can even be drunk young, with 2 or 3 hours decantation.
